Vincent Marvaso

USGTF Certified Teaching Professional

I have been teaching golf for 25 years and have experience watching swings of all types.  I use video to help us both learn about what we need to work on.

I have added the use of a launch montior to my lessons.  Launch monitors provided data points to show exactly what your clubs does during a swing and gives us a path to work on.

Being physically fit will help your game.  To the extent that you are able, we will use Golf Forever and TPI exercises at the start of each lesson.  These exercises will help you with ROTATION, FLEXIBILITY, and BALANCE, the cornerstones of a good golf swing.  After doing the suggested exercises for a few sessions, you will notice the improvement of your flexibility, balance and rotation.  We can then focus on creating more club head speed in your swing, which means more distance.

Please visit my website, www.yourtotalgolf.com, to understand how this ties together.  Here you will find my contact information.  Let's make this the year you break down the barriers that have been holding your game back.

Coach Mike is one of golf's most sought after professionals. His 40 years of experience give him the knowledge to pass on to beginners, intermediate players, and professionals. Coach Mike provides private, playing , and group lessons to men, women and kids. He has developed his own special and unique golf philosophy and teaching methods. It is this philosophy that is creating golf champions and great golfers. The following students have shown dramatic improvement with Mike's teaching:

** Mike's student, Bernerd, a 55 year old energy executive, started lessons in May 2019 as a 115 shooter. In 13 months, in June 2020, Bernerd broke 80 with a 79 at Lodestone CC in western Maryland.

**Tyler, a 16 year old Lake Braddock HS student, improved about 30 shots over 18 months. After 40 hours of lessons with Mike, Tyler went from shooting 110 to a 78 in the Virginia District championship. He left for college carrying a 5 handicap.

**Dylan,a basketball coach, worked with Mike in a 5 month period. After 32 lessons, he went from being a golfer who shot 110 to shooting a 72 at Lansdowne CC. His handicap is now a 4. He can be heard in Mike's Instagram video saying Mike is "The best in the game."

**Mike's student John was a self professed 105-110 player in early 2018. By summer 2019, after 13 lessons and a playing lesson, he is consistently shooting in the mid 80's. This is a 20 stroke improvement with a $1000 investment.

**Mike's 12 year old daughter Lauren tied for 6th in the 2018 Virginia Amateur 36 hole qualifying event. She tied the best Virginia Tech player who would finish 5th in the NCAA national championship in2019. Lauren has a 2.6 handicap while practicing only 8 days a month.
