Kevin Boynton (Burke Lake)

Kevin has been teaching and playing in the golf business since 1993. In 2000 he became a Level 3 Certified Instructor with the USGTF. During this time, he qualified for and played in two PGA tour events, advanced to the second stage of PGA Tour Qualifying School, and spent his winters honing his skills on various mini  tours. He likes to work with all levels of golfers and wants to see everyone improve and enjoy the game through lower scores.

 Michael graduated from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, with a Bachelor of Business Administration. When he worked as a CEO in South Korea, he started playing golf in the early 1980s. Previously a teacher at Greendale Golf Course and Hilltop Golf Club, he now teaches at Oak Marr Golf Complex, and also as the main golf instructor of KoreaTimesCultureCenter. He believes that “golf is science” and stresses not only technique but also theory. He says, “A player cannot always be with the instructor, so he should learn how to ‘catch a fish’ by himself.” He teaches with patience until his student is satisfied. Michael is also a principal broker of Cornerstone Realty, licensed in Virginia, DC, and Maryland. Michael respects his students as he would a real estate client.

 

Leah Esper (Burke Lake)

Leah is a USGTF Level III Instructor currently teaching for the Everybody Golf School at Burke Lake Golf Course in Fairfax Station, VA.

Leah began her golf career in 1972 as a beginner golfer, and played competitive golf through the 1970s and 1980s. She was a scholarship player on the University of Memphis Ladies Golf Team during college. In addition to her USGTF Certification, Leah is the Head Coach of the Lake Braddock High School Girls Golf Team, and an assistant coach for the Lake Braddock boys team.
Leah has a traditional golf philosophy emphasizing swing fundamentals, golf courtesy, the rules of golf, and most of all, enjoyment of the game. Her goal is to help you become a better golfer regardless of your age or playing ability. Leah also believes in the importance of introducing young people to the game of golf as soon as they are ready to learn, bringing to aspiring golfers the patience, discipline, and persistence critical to their growth and success.

  

Tony Felt (Oak Marr)

Tony grew up around the golf course, his dad also being a PGA professional. In addition to teaching golf, Tony is a teacher with the Fairfax County Public Schools and is a former college baseball player. He enjoys working with students of all abilities and loves to focus on the short game and hitting it LONG!   Tony competed in the 2007 World Golf Teachers Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada and finished in a solid tie for 11th place. Tony’s excitement for the game and his enthusiasm to learn more are what make him a great instructor.

Tarah Miller (Oak Marr)

Tarah played Division I golf at Saint Francis University in
Pennsylvania where she graduated with a degree in Computer Science.
She is a certified instructor with the United States Golf Teachers
Federation and recently passed her Playing Ability Test to receive her
Ladies Professional Golf Assocation certification. In addition to teaching with
the Everybody Golf School, Tarah coaches the women's golf team at
Bridgewater College.

Whether you are looking to tune up your swing or are just learning the
game, Tarah can help you meet your golfing goals. Tarah believes in
helping you find your natural swing and helping you understand what
the best techniques are for you. She is well versed in drills and
training aids, and advocates their use to achieve desired results

Benny Navarro (Oak Marr)

Benny has been a teaching professional for nearly 20 years at many driving ranges in the Northern Virginia area. Benny enjoys working with all golfers but really enjoys teaching fundamentals to juniors and adult beginning players. One of Benny’s junior students became the Virginia State champion and another qualified for the USGA Junior National Championship, an honor limited to the top 150 junior players in the country. Benny lives in Northern Virginia. Benny teaches primarily at the Oak Marr Golf Complex.

Lloyd began teaching golf after he retired from his dentistry practice. He welcomes golfers of all skill levels and loves to use computerized video analysis. Lloyd also holds an advanced Masters of Education degree from the University of Southern California. Lloyd teaches primarily at Pinecrest Golf Course.

 

Bob Vitti (Burke Lake)

Bob is a USGTF Level III Instructor currently teaching for the Everybody Golf School at Burke Lake Golf Course in Fairfax Station, VA. He began his golf career in 1962 as a caddie and beginner golfer, and played competitive golf through the 60’s and 70’s, including local, state, and club championships. He was the captain of his golf team in 1969 and 1970, and a member of the ARMY TRADOC golf team in 1975 and 1976. He was Club Champion in 1975 and runner-up in 1976. In addition to his USGTF Certification, Bob has degrees in Education and Engineering, has been certified for instruction in California and Texas, and has taught many subjects over the years. Most recently, Bob was senior golf instructor at Twin Lakes Golf Course in Clifton, VA, Brambleton Regional Golf Park in Ashburn, VA, and the Fair Oaks Golf Park in Fairfax, VA.

Bob is also the Head Coach for the Briar Woods High School Golf Team in Ashburn, VA. His six year old team has already captured four District titles and the 2007 Regional Championship! In 2008, the number one Falcon’s player, Michael Birmingham, qualified for the state championship where he tied for 8th in the 36 hole contest. During the 2009 season, the Falcons posted their first sub-par team score in competition! In the 2010 season, Jr. Adam Ochs and Jr. Nicole Flores both qualified for the VA State AA Golf Championship.
